You may remember, I mentioned that Malachi and I scored some free tickets to see Hair.

This was an experience I will never forget.  Because sometimes images get burned into your head and no matter how hard you try, you just can't get them out.
Don't get me wrong.  I do like Hair (the movie).  Catchy tunes, heart grasping plot.  And see, that's just the thing.  A plot.  Something that this stage performance had never heard of.  I don't know who all reads my blog, and I don't want to scare people away with certain descriptions.  So I'm gonna try to describe this in gentle ways.

In order to do that, I'm gonna make this short.  I'm not gonna get into descriptions, cause that's where I can get into trouble.

So we'll start with the words "loin cloth" and such clothed person was climbing over audience members seats.  Sidenote...if you ever go to Hair, avoid front row seats, don't worry, we were luckily near the back.
Next let's use the words "entire cast on stage, nude".  I mean, completely.

I have a new understanding of hippies after seeing this, because this show truly takes you into another time, and you feel like you are a hippie.  Especially the point where everyone is high and seeing Abraham Lincoln (played by a woman) and Diana Ross (played, of course, by a man).

Lastly, there was alot of...see, I don't know how to describe this and keep my blog safe for everyone's eyes.  Well, imagine rabbits...

All in all, it is one of those experiences that makes for hilarious memories, and (after immediately showing Malachi the movie when we got home so that he wouldn't think his wife is completely nuts for being a fan of the movie) really good laughs.

There is only one movie of Hair, right? I'm a little surprised you like it so much because it's pretty much like you describe the show above...lots of nudity, drugs, orgys, and that bride scene in the church was really strange and disrespectful. There are a couple catchy tunes though.

Yikes! Strong feelings about that movie Taumi! Haha. There are a couple of versions of Hair, but there is only one that I would imagine anyone would see, from the 70's. But there is only one scene with nudity and it's cause some people stole their clothes when they were skinny dipping. And it was only 2 people (not the entire cast, and not your face). And I don't remember any orgy's at all in the movie. As for the drugs, it's a movie about the 60's and the hippies. So it's definitely present, but it's not in the way of the plot like it is in the stage version. The reason I'm sounding so defensive (sorry, I really don't mean to come off that way) is because if anyone was turned off from the movie because of any of what you listed, then the stage version (which is exponentially less plot, more sex and drugs) is not for them.

How do I not know how to keep things short? I also type too much. And who knows if you will ever read this comment anyways!
