One of my favorite movies. So one night, I decided to go through my closet and see if I could interpret their looks through clothes that I owned.
First off, Claire (Molly Ringwald)
a quick disclaimer...this was at night so the lighting is bad, and my hair is a mess, and I'm not wearing makeup...so focus on the outfits and my ridiculous poses please :)
Why am I standing so weird? Well, that was the dance! As pictured below:
Here I do it again while interpreting Allison (Ally Sheedy)
So what about the guys??
Bender (Judd Nelson)
That was the only plaid I owned (and I don't own any flannel), but I decided to channel the dance again for you:
Good ole Brian (Anthony Michael Hall). He was by far the most difficult. I didn't want to throw on my work khakis. And I don't own a sweater that could really pass for what he's wearing. So I picked a green cardigan/shrug thing instead. Also I tried it with longer white pants, which I liked better, but couldn't get a decent picture of it.
And then, my absolute favorite. Emilio Estevez!! (Andrew Clark)
I like him so much, I struck two poses.
So there you have it! That's what I do on a slow sunday night!
"Saturday, March 24,1984. Shermer High School, Shermer, Illinois, 60062. Dear Mr. Vernon, We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did *was* wrong. But we think you're crazy to make us write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us - in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. You see us as a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal. Correct? That's the way we saw each other at 7:00 this morning. We were brainwashed."
