September Somethings

from this past month, here is something I:

loved:

My 10 year high school reunion!  Reminiscing about ridiculous things we used to do and say.  Laughing at embarrassing films and pictures.  Feeling a little stunted in our progress to be adults, but also feeling pretty okay with that.  And realizing again how thankful I am to have been and still get to be a part of such a great group of people.

listened to:

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, from NPR.  I listen to it via podcast, and Peter Sagal never fails to amaze me with his wit.  And the whole show never fails to make me laugh.

watched:

A whole ton of series premieres.  But probably my most favorite thing that I watched this month was Downton Abbey during a TV series marathon with Taumi on a lazy monday.  It's incredibly well done with how it intertwines history with in-depth characters of a likeable family, in addition to the in-depth likeable characters of their staff.  There's a lot going on, and the writers work it out so well.  (Thanks V for suggesting it)

read:

Created to be His Help Meet - I'm still reading this one.  But I know enough to say that I wouldn't really recommend it.  I get her point, and I think it is a valid one for the most part.  But I find her a little annoying.  And I also think that her point would still be pretty clear with a lot fewer pages than the book has.

learned:

I guess this links up with the last one.  I take everything I read in the book (mentioned above), with a grain of salt.  But it has made me a bit more aware of my actions and words.

And a couple more pictures from Alumni just cause...
